Alexandre likes to work the material recalling sensations of his long walks in the hills. The countryside of Provence, its light and its scents, is a source of endless inspiration for a painter. And this throughout the year. The pale sun of winter or hot summer sun makes the flamboyant and generous nature at its most brilliant. It's a little of this wealth that painting of Alexandre incorporates into his paintings.

Bathed in lights and contrasts, rich materials, the fall colors with harmony on the canvas. Working with a knife, Alexandre works powerful shapes, sculpts mountains and rocks, builds villages, barns and ruins, slices genets, lavender and wild herbs.
